The beach “Vathia Yonia” is located 2.2 kilometres East of Ayia Napa’s centre. It is a sandy beach within a natural rocky bay. It is covered with fine golden sand, its waves are of average intensity and it is fully protected against the wind.

The coast is separated by a pedestrian lane which links the beach Easterly with Ayia Napa’s harbour and Westerly with Makronisos’ beach, where one can visit the Makronisos’ necropolis. There are restaurants and accommodation facilities available for rent in the area.
